Groupwheel is built to be simple and private. Student roster data stays on your device, in your browser. We do not store it on our servers, sell it, or use it for advertising.

In normal use, Groupwheel cannot see your roster data because it does not leave your browser.

What We Collect

We do not collect or store student roster data on Groupwheel servers. Roster data (such as names or IDs you enter) is stored locally in your browser, and Groupwheel does not have access to it.

We may receive basic technical information from your browser or hosting infrastructure (for example, standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and request timing) to keep the site secure and operational.

How Your Data Is Used

Data you enter is used only to run Groupwheel features (for example, creating and showing groups) in your browser.

We do not sell personal information and do not use student data for profiling, ad targeting, or marketing.

Storage and Retention

Data saved by Groupwheel remains in your browser storage until you clear it. You can delete this data anytime by clearing site data for Groupwheel in your browser settings.

If you export data from Groupwheel (for example, to a file), that exported copy is outside Groupwheel's control. You are responsible for how exported files are stored, shared, and secured after export.

Children and Schools

Groupwheel is intended for educators and school use. It is not designed for children to use independently. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

FERPA and COPPA Notes

Because roster data is processed locally in your browser, Groupwheel is designed to minimize transfer of student records to Groupwheel systems. Schools and teachers remain responsible for their own legal compliance decisions, including FERPA and COPPA obligations.

Your Rights (US)

Depending on your state, you may have privacy rights regarding personal information. If you have a request, contact us and we will respond as required by applicable US law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make updates, we will revise the effective date on this page.
